Osborne Appointments are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative on behalf of our client based in Luton on a temporary to permanent basis.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
- 10:00am – 6:00pm
- 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Duties of a Warehouse Operative
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
- Moving, stacking, wrapping, and palletising stock
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately
- Assisting with goods-in and goods-out processes
- Labelling and preparing stock for dispatch
- Carrying out stock checks and supporting inventory control
- Using handheld scanners and warehouse systems where required
- Organising products within the warehouse/yard to maintain efficiency
- Ensuring all orders are completed within deadlines
- Maintaining cleanliness and general housekeeping within the warehouse
- Reporting damaged stock, missing items, or health and safety concerns
- Following all company procedures and health & safety regulations at all times
- Supporting colleagues and working effectively as part of a team
- Assisting with additional warehouse duties as required by management
Personal Specification
- Good level of written English
- Ability to undertake physically demanding work
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
