Warehouse Operative.

OA are recruiting for a workshop operative on behalf of an established business based in Ely.

The workshop operative will assist in the overall production and despatch of customer orders whilst also ensuring the stock holding matches the amount that is on the system.

Workshop operative responsibilities include:

• To assist with general workshop production, including unwrapping and re-packaging of the doors, door sets, sorting deliveries by placing them in the appropriate bins, and checking details on labels to ensure that they are correctly sorted.
• Checking for damaged or missing items.
• Conduct regular perpetual stock takes in the warehouse.
• Will be required to move stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck.
• General warehouse duties including housekeeping duties to ensure cleanliness and H&S of the site is always maintained.
• Operating a range of woodworking machines.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

• Experience working within a warehouse or production environment is beneficial.
• Heavy lifting and manual handling are required.
• Counterbalance forklift licence experience required.
