Location: Stevenage

Permanent – Full Time

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum

We currently have a new and exciting vacancy as a Trainee CNC Machine Operator for a well-established client based in Stevenage.

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: Monday – Thursday 7am – 5pm and Friday 7am – 1pm (Flexible hours)

Experience of operating CNC machinery is desirable, however full training would be given on all specific operational matters if required. This role could lead to further training and development for someone looking to upskill and progress their career. What will you be doing as a Trainee Diamond Turning Engineer?

Maintaining a ‘hands-on’ role including but not limited to: -

  • Learn to Operate, Setup and Programme CNC Machines
  • Adhere to machine maintenance schedule
  • Deburring, cleaning and inspection of finished components
  • Work to all company operating procedures
  • Keep component quality and maintain dimensional accuracy
  • Maintain machine workshop and keeping your work area clean and tidy
  • Adhere to all health and safety
  • To adopt and maintain safe working practices

What do we want from you?

  • Passion or Experience (not vital) with CNC Machinery
  • Flexible, adaptable with a methodical approach to working
  • Keen to learn is a must
  • Organized and proactive
  • A keen eye for detail is imperative
  • Able to follow/take instruction
  • Can-do approach
