Salary:  Depending on experience, between £23,000 - £25,000

ROle Overview: Responsible for the inspection of parts and/or assemblies made to company/customer drawings and specifications. To determine the acceptability by visual assessment and/or by the AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) measurement of the products. Training will be provided if required.

Main Duties:

• To be responsible for the first-off inspection and batch built of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) assemblies (surface mount and / or conventional technologies), using appropriate inspection and measurement equipment and techniques, including visual inspection and the AOI machine to determine acceptability for use, and to ensure good quality product of populated boards, completed units and cable assemblies in company or customer products.
• The job holder must have the ability to read and understand technical/engineering drawings and have a good working knowledge of PCB construction.

• To liaise with appropriate personnel to resolve any problems or queries identified with products inspected.

• Maintenance of appropriate inspection records.

• To support the Quality Manager with the ongoing development of the quality management system.

  Participation in company quality improvement initiatives
• Follow and uphold the Company’s environmental policy, procedures and instructions in order to minimize environmental impacts from its activities
