Job Role
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will have a key role in maintaining stock levels across a variety of product categories. The role takes responsibility of assessing business inventory, and placing appropriate orders with a mixture of suppliers from both National and International sources. This challenging role will see constant communication across all business levels, as well as regular contact with vendors from across the globe. The position will suit someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment.

Main duties of the role:

  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of circa 3,000 SKUs to ensure stock levels are within targets.
  • Placing of regular orders with National and International suppliers, and liaising with these suppliers to progress delivery.
  • Goods receipting of all delivered product.
  • Matching and entering supplier invoices, and dealing with queries as required.
  • Maintenance of the product database as needed.
  • Deal with daily enquiries on product supply, or requests for technical information.
  • Collaborate with all business functions on a daily basis, working closely with Sales, Marketing and Warehouse personnel.
  • Supporting the Product Manager and other teams in duties as required.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Purchasing / Inventory experience preferably within the Plumbing / Heating industry.
  • Previous experience with purchase ordering systems.
  • Be highly self-motivated with good communication and people skills.
  • Good mathematical ability.
  • An organised approach.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Business sense.
  • Capability with standard I.T. software including Microsoft Excel.
