Production Operative required in Stevenage due to company expansion!
Do you have Production experience, or electrical background and looking to work for a growing, friendly business with overtime available!
Osborne Appointments are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Stevenage for Production Operatives,
The working hours would be 40 per week, on an alternating shift (7.00am-3.45pm and 10.15am-7.00pm).
Rate would be £10per hour, £20,800 per annum with overtime available at 1.5x
Job Type: Permanent, full
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: Day shift or Late shift
Salary: £20800 plus overtime at 1.5.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
? Be able to understand and operate the PCP system
? Understand and completion of the process route travellers and other related documentation
? The start up and running of machinery or process
? Loading and unloading materials and product as required
? Reading and interpreting customer drawings where necessary
? Modify the machine settings to compensate for adjustments and renewal or for material variations but maintain controls within company boundaries
? Operate ancillary equipment
? Where applicable make up chemistry, incorporate additions and carry out analyses
? Where applicable change over any jigs and fixtures
? Using measuring equipment when required
? Checking and ensuring quality of own work is of an acceptable standard and within company boundaries
? Ensure preventative maintenance checks are carried out in accordance with the companies schedule and that documentation is current and complete
? Where necessary prepare necessary test certification documentation routinely required by customers for finished products
? To assist in the compilation of the companies documentation for the Quality, H&S and Environmental system requirements
? To assist in the monitoring of any departmental trial work in line with planned objectives
? Assist with training and coaching when required
? Support development activities within the area to improve products and processes
? Liaise with the IT department to ensure that production data is provided and at the correct issue
? Actively work towards quality improvement reducing rejects and reworks
? Participate in the implementation of corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) when required
? Ensure best practice housekeeping is maintained
? Undertake any other duties of which responsibility, experience and skills required fall within the post holder’s expected capabilities and commensurate with the post holder’s position in the company
? Maintain good timekeeping
? Work on own initiative, using judgment to make decisions in order to solve problems
? Be able to carry out a variety of tasks requiring substantial thought
? Promote team communication and ethics
? Have a ‘can do’ attitude to tasks & responsibilities
