Production Manager

Location: Letchworth

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours/week)

Flexibility: Option to finish at lunchtime on Fridays if hours are achieved

OA are recruiting a hands-on Production Manager to join our client’s dynamic and growing manufacturing team, specializing in sheet metal fabrication.

Candidates must have experiance within sheet metal before applying.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage efficient production schedules
• Oversee daily operations and coordinate fabrication workflows
• Lead a multiskilled team with strong, visible floor presence
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with H&S standards
• Maintain and inspect machinery to reduce downtime
• Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance
• Analyze production data to resolve bottlenecks and improve efficiency
• Foster a positive, productive team environment

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment
• Sheet metal fabrication experience (essential)
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Solid understanding of materials, production processes, and equipment maintenance
• Ability to problem-solve and implement improvements
• Comfortable using production software/tools
• Excellent communication and team development skills
