Role: Shift Manager – Pick/Pack – day shift

Location: HP52 7FW

Hours: Monday to Friday 06:30-16:00

Salary: £30,000-£32,000 plus 10-15% annual performance related bonus

My client is going through an exciting period of growth & an opportunity has now arisen for an Day Pick/Pack Shift Manager to join our client’s successful team in Hemel Hempstead (moving to St Albans in January 2024)

Role summary:

As the Day timePick/Pack Shift Manager, you will oversee a team of 10-20 employees during the evening shift, ensuring that all aspects of the order fulfillment process are executed with precision and efficiency. You will be the most responsible person on site. Taking care of labour management on shift, quality control, and output management, as well as prioritising orders and managing pick lists and job sheets. Your role is crucial in making sure customer demand is kept up whilst maintaining the high standards of delivery time & quality.

What we would like from you:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse, logistics, or e-commerce fulfillment environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions quickly
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and proficiency in inventory software.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting
  • Capable of physical demands involving walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred.
