An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Specialist – Employee Relations to join my client, you will be responsible for all employee relation topics, documentation, processes and practices to see regional and local compliance is met and a healthy working environment is maintained.

About the role:

Reporting into the HR Manager you will support, advise, instruct, train and coach management on ER company policies, procedures and relevant local labour law and regulations, providing updates as and when changes are made with effective delivery of material.

You will have a strong background in Employee Relations & will be well versed in dealing with performance concerns, providing regular HR information to managers together with recommended HR actions and timescales to improve quality and/or effectiveness of people management.

Responsibilities

  • Support, advise, instruct, train and coach all DC management on ER company policies, procedures and relevant local labor law and regulations updates as and when changes are made with effective delivery of material
  • Assist managers with employee concerns/grievances to support and resolve to prevent formal escalation
  • Analyse relevant ER Routines and employee KPI’s such as S/T and L/T sickness, staff turnover etc. to suggest preventative measures and find solutions to support employee well-being
  • Maintain an ER overview and follow up on all processes of the employee cycle. Ensure compliance with company requirements/ local legislation's
  • Support managers with grievance process as a neutral unbiased partner giving recommendation on level of discipline or corrective action
  • Support DC Manager by providing employees with a healthy working environment accord. to local laws & global recommendation
  • Attend legal depositions and mediation as required
  • Promote I&D culture within the DC
  • Actively participate/ support in local change initiatives/ global program roll outs that involve employee relations matters 

What we would like from you:

  • Proven experience within the field of Employee Relations - essential 
  • Have Employee Relations case management experience - including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, flexible working - essential 
  • CIPD qualified - desirable but not essential 
  • Up to date knowledge of current employment law
  • Have a passion for equity, diversity and inclusion
  • Have a strong influence and inspiration, enabling active coaching in all HR core activities in turn strengthen our Leaders HR knowledge
  • Have attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks & priorities
