OA are recruiting for a HR Officer to join our client based in Welwyn Garden City on a full time, permanent basis.

Main duties:

  • Provide a comprehensive HR service to all managers
  • Providing guidance and advice in line with HR/ER policies and practices
  • Lead on recruitment across all areas, ensuring the business is able to attract, recruit, retain and develop people
  • Updating policies and procedures as required, ensuring they are up to date with legislation and best practice
  • Effectively monitor sickness trends, facilitating a proactive approach to absence management
  • Supporting with the full employee lifecycle, including parental leave, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, performance management, leavers
  • Maintain and improve professional knowledge through study days, training courses and any other such means as available

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualified or part-qualified in CIPD Level 5 or above
  • Experience working in a HR Role, giving advice regarding a range of HR Matters
  • Experience of the full recruitment lifecycle
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office and HR databases
  • Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage priorities
  • Confidence to challenge and suggest improved processes
