Hand assembly operator required!

Do you have a keen eye for detail and ability to concentrate for periods of time?

This is a role where you need to be able to work with small components, so you need to have a good level of dexterity

Location: Stevenage

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £9.50 - £10 an hour, based on working 39 hours a week

Working Hours: Working hours: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 17:00 2x 15-minute break & 1x 30-minute lunch, and finish early on a Friday 08:00 – 13:00 1x 15-minute break.

Benefits – Overtime, Pension scheme with 8% contribution, car park, early finish on a Friday, 20 days holiday.

Working in the Production Department, you will be assembling PCB’s. You will need to be proficient in the following:

• Pre-form, insert and crop component leads using hand tools such as cutters, pliers etc.
• Solder conventional components to IPC-A-610, class 2 and 3
• Work from assembly drawings and build packs
• Understand the general requirements for PCB assembly and static control
• Complete production documentation
• Operate various machinery used in the assembly process, e.g., flow solder machine, cleaning tank, drill etc.

• Working to client specific drawings, internal build documents, and customer deadlines.
• Inspection and potential rework of PCB boards.
