I have an exciting  opportunity for a Goods In/Out Manager to join our client’s successful team in Hemel Hempstead.

Role summary:

Management of receiving and outbound at my client’s factory and warehouse in Hemel Hempstead (moving to St Albans 01/01/2024). This role requires a blend of practical knowledge of warehouse operations and proficiency in computer-based inventory and data management systems, along with strong communication and leadership skills.

What we would like from you:

  • Relevant Industry Experience: Candidates are generally expected to have several years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, supply chain, or a related field. This background is important for understanding inventory management, goods receipt, and dispatch processes.
  • Leadership Experience: Having experience in leading and managing a team is important. This includes responsibilities such as staff scheduling, training, and performance management. Experience in team leadership is key to effectively overseeing the goods in the department.
  • Computer and Software Proficiency: Proficiency with inventory management software, ERP systems, and general computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), is vital. This skill set is necessary for managing data, preparing reports, and analyzing inventory.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Experience in addressing and resolving logistical or inventory-related problems is valuable. This demonstrates the ability to handle the challenges that may arise in the goods in process.
  • Communication Skills: Experience in effectively communicating with team members, other departments, and external suppliers or vendors is essential. This ensures smooth operations and coordination in the supply chain.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Experience in managing or overseeing health and safety compliance within a warehouse or logistics environment is often required. This includes understanding relevant regulations and ensuring a safe working environment.
