Osborne appointment is recruiting on behalf of one of our well established clients who is looking for an experienced Accounts assistant to join their finance team based at their Stevenage office

Accounts Assistant - About the role

• 40 hours a week Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
• Available to start immediately
• Temporary to permanent opportunity
• £11.00 - £12.00 per hour

Accounts Assistant – Main duties

• Process of supplier invoices
• Issuing purchase order numbers
• Resolving invoice queries with branches & suppliers
• Preparing monthly payment runs  
• Petty Cash processing for multiple branches
• Weekly Reports
• Raising sales invoices relating to consolidated billing customers

Skills:

• Good working knowledge of Sage 50 system
• Solid office experience in an accounting role
• Proficient in the use of Excel
• Attention to detail
• Good Numerical acumen
• Strong typing/keyboard ability
• Excellent organisational/prioritisation ability
• Ability to work on own initiative with little supervision
• Able to work as part of a team
